Auli, Chamoli and Dehradun Tour Overview

A complete Garhwal-Kumaon circuit covering the spiritual riverside charm of Rishikesh, the snow-capped ski slopes of Auli, the colonial hill-station beauty of Mussoorie and the lake-side charm of Nainital. The trip starts at Haridwar and ends with a drop at Kathgodam. Stay at comfortable properties at every stop with daily breakfast and a private cab for the entire trip. Please note this circuit covers a very wide area of Uttarakhand. Days 4 and 5 involve back-to-back long drives of around 290 km each (9+ hours), with little time for sightseeing on those two days. Kindly set the clients expectations accordingly or consider dropping one destination for a more relaxed pace.

Auli, Chamoli and Dehradun Tour Itinerary

Day 1

Haridwar to Rishikesh

Pickup from Haridwar in the morning followed by a short drive to Rishikesh. Guests check in mid-morning and have time to freshen up. The day includes visits to iconic riverside landmarks Ram Jhula and Laxman Jhula, leisure time at riverside cafes, a visit to Parmarth Niketan Ashram and Triveni Ghat, and the evening Ganga Aarti at Triveni Ghat or Parmarth Niketan. Travel timings include 07:00 AM pickup, 08:00 AM drive to Rishikesh, 09:30 AM hotel check-in and 06:00 PM Ganga Aarti.

Day 2

Rishikesh to Auli

Early morning departure from Rishikesh for a long scenic drive to Auli via Devprayag, Rudraprayag, Karnaprayag and Chamoli covering approximately 270 km. The drive includes a photo stop at the sacred confluence of Devprayag and an enroute lunch. Arrival and hotel check-in in the evening with time for leisure and mountain views.

Day 3

Auli Sightseeing

A day dedicated to exploring Auli and nearby Joshimath. After breakfast guests ride the Auli ropeway for panoramic Himalayan views, visit the Auli artificial lake and Gurso Bugyal meadows, have lunch, then proceed to Joshimath to see Narsingh Temple and viewpoints before returning to the hotel in the evening.

Day 4

Auli to Mussoorie

Early check-out from Auli for a long drive to Mussoorie via Rudraprayag, Srinagar, Rishikesh and Dehradun, covering around 290 km. The journey includes an enroute lunch and arrival at Mussoorie in the late afternoon. Evening leisure on Mall Road and Camel's Back Road with sunset views over the valley.

Day 5

Mussoorie to Nainital

After breakfast and check-out from Mussoorie, a morning photo stop at Kempty Falls is optional. The drive to Nainital passes via Dehradun, a Haridwar bypass, Kashipur and Haldwani covering about 290 km. Arrival, hotel check-in in the evening and activities include boating at Naini Lake and a stroll along Mall Road. Note that outside tourist cabs are not permitted inside Nainital city limits and local sightseeing requires a local taxi arranged by guests.

Day 6

Nainital to Kathgodam Drop

Morning visit to Naina Devi Temple and Snow View Point after breakfast with cable car or rope-way on direct payment. Check-out mid-morning followed by last-minute shopping in Tallital or Mallital markets. Drive to Kathgodam, approximately 35 km and about 1 hour, with drop at Kathgodam Railway Station or Bus Stand after lunch time.
